The MSSQLSERVER service hung on starting.

HI All,

Win 2000 &SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.2282
DTC service is in auto start type

Recently during last system weekly reboot, the sql services hung and i see
below message in eventlogs.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7022
Date: 11/16/2009
Time: 8:11:31 AM

Computer: Server1
Description:
The MSSQLSERVER service hung on starting.

The SQL log has only below messages..

Please let me know the right direction to troubleshoot and how do we prevent

Make sure that DTC is running
