Can multiple SQL instances (sql server 2000 and sql server 2005) be clustered
in an active/active environment?

Thank you.

You can install SQL Server instances in the same Microsoft Cluster Server. If
you then configure to run these instances on different nodes, you get your
'active\active' configuration.

And to answer the other part of your question, SQL 2000 and SQL 2005 can
co-exist comfortably on the same computer and/or cluster.
