In the Data Form Wizard the open command failed with message: "Unrecognized

What do I do?
Please suggest.

Hi Jedi,
At the time VB6 was made the Data Form Wizard by default it used the
reference Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects Library 2.0. All you need to do is
change this reference in your app to 2.5 or higher and you be OK!

Hope this helps!

Dear Friends,

Even though I am quite experienced in Access & VBA I new to VB.
I am trying to create a simple bound form using Data Form Wizard. So far no
problem. Wizard does its best. But when I try to run the form that is
created by the wizard I get the following error:
Compile Error:
Procedure declaration does not match description of event or procedure
having the same name.

The event procedure "datPrimaryRS_MoveComplete" is created by the wizard
itself. I searched the help but what I read did not help me to solve the
When I disable event procedures namely "datPrimaryRS_MoveComplete" &
"datPrimaryRS_WillChangeRecord" bound form work ok.
Possible reason? How can I fix the code or whatever the reason for the event
to work?

By the way my environment as follows:

My system is windows XP professional & I am using VB6 Srv. Pack 6
When I run the wizard for the first time it adds "Microsoft ActiveX Data
Objects 2.0 Library" to the referenses & "adodc" to the components.
On my machine also visual studio .net 1.0 is installed. could be the reason
for conflict?

Thanks in advance.

Same thing happened to me. I was using XP Home with SP6 and also SP5
on a W98 system. Any help out there?
I have searched KB and the SP6 bug list but no cigar.
