Reset Screen Saver Timeout Timer???

Reset Screen Saver Timeout Timer???

Post by mike » Wed, 20 Apr 2005 20:02:19

I use a commercial program that locks up the system when the
screen saver is activated.

Thought I'd write a small program that did whatever was required
to tickle the timeout timer periodically.
Would be nice, but not essential, to do this without
doing something visible on the screen.
Turning off the timeout timer would also work.
Google has let me down on exactly how to do this.

Which events reset the screen saver timer?
Thanks, mike

There is no way to access the timer directly, but faking any mouse or
keyboard activity will reset it, for example a [Shift] keystroke:
SendKeys "+"
