User-defined type not defined errors going from VB5 to VB6

I've been using VB5 every since it came out. I picked up a copy of
VB6 on eBay. When I loaded my first program into it, it was riddled
with "User-defined type not defined" errors. The errors seemed to all
be associated with beginning Sub statements, but I didn't see a common
thread in the statements.

The program worked (works?) perfectly in 5.

I found some posts of others having this problem just after 6 was
released, but no one had the answer.

Does anyone know the underlying cause of this?

At a wild guess I would suspect that your project has lost references

- it sounds as if it is smething like this

Public Sub DoSomething( X As SomeClass )

Where SomeClass is no longer known

You could post a few samples for us to look at
