Given a MDI Client (Parent) handle what is the best way to
step through and retrive the handles of any MDI Children
that are active ?

Only one MDI child can be active at a time, you get it with
WM_MDIGETACTIVE. If you want all MDI child windows, use GetWindow with
GW_CHILD and GW_HWNDNEXT options.
