Just upgraded to SP2 and have enable the IMF but it is blocking some emails
internally especially if they have attachments.. What am I missing?

How did you determine internal emails were being blocked?
Are these internal emails from senders in your Exchange Org originating on
an Exchange server, or from another smtp host?

These are forwarded messages that are being sent to the archive folder and
they are senders in our exchange org originating on our only exchange server.
