Outgoing Mail: Specify smart host for specific hosted domains?

Hello,

I am currently hosting email for 6 domains. The default virtual SMTP server
is configured to forward mail to a smart host.

For 4 of the 6 hosted domains, I need outgoing mail to forward to a
different SMTP server. Why? The default virtual SMTP server forwards mail
to a company that scans for viruses, etc. We don't want to pay for that
service for all hosted domains. Only for 2.

Is it possible to specify a smart host for outgoing mail based on the
senders domain?

Thank you,

Mentioning the version of Exchange server you're on helps answer such
questions.

On Exchange Server 2003, create additional SMTP Connector(s) for those
domains. Add the appropriate SMTP server as smarthost.
