AD\Exchange Migration and 2nd Exchange site in Different Domain

I finished a win2k and exchange2k migration from NT and exch5.5. The
pre-migration layout was as follows:
US Location: single NT4 domain with Exchange 5.5 (2 sites-US and
Brazil).
South American Location: single NT domain with Exchange 5.5 site.
A two way trust exists between the two domains and all email is routed from
the US exch site.

I did an upgrade of the US location to Win2k and Exch2k without problems.
Now I have AD running and Exch2k and am experiencing a few issues related to
the relationship with the exchange 5.5 site in South America. The domain
users are not in AD but the relationship between exch sites needs to exist.
I had ADC set up and am seeing all kinds of errors. The ADC created disabled
users for the South American users in AD. I need these things to play nice
for a short period of time until I can complete the migration of the South
American site to Win2K and Exch2k

I know this is a lot of info but I am concern that replication is going
create other issues. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The ADC will create disabled users in AD if the domain South America is on
is not in AD. This is the only was E2K users will be able to route email to
them. Is it the plan to upgrade NT4 in SA to W2K AD?

Yes. We plan to upgrade SA to a child domain of our current AD domain in the
US. It will not happen until early 2004. Is there anything that I can do in
the meantime to minimize the RPC errors and the replication issues? Does the
ADC connection agreement need to be one way (exchange to AD) or two way?
I am assuming that this is something that we have to live with until the
upgrade is complete.
