You should temporarily re-enable source control on your system and unbind
the projects from source control correctly. Manually editing the files to
remove SCC information is often problematic.

| I've been using the source code control tool that is integrated to
| Visual Studio .net 2003; as it appeared to be corrupting the database,
| I decided to disable the integrated tool and simply check the files in
| and out using Visual Source Safe (version 6). I removed the
| SourceCodeControlProvider key in Software\Microsoft\SourceSafe and
| sure enough, source control is not enabled in Visual any more -- I can
| add projects, check in and check out files from Source Safe, and use
| them in Visual Studio .Net...
