External Trusts, no errors but remote users cannot authenticate

I have 2 forests, one with 1 domain (A), one with 3 domains (B). Forest A only includes a web server. I created trusts between the forests to allow web admins from forest B access to forest A without having to use seperate accounts. The trusts were able to be created and in the ntfs security settings for the web folders I can grant access to users from both forests. However, only the seperate user accounts on the web server can authenticate to the folder, even though I can add users from forest B on the security tab.
I am able to logon to the forest A server with forest B domain admin credentials
When users attempt to connect to a share in forest A they get access denied even though they have permission in the share and ntfs tabs for the folder.

Any ideas on where to look.
Thanks
