Terminal Server

Post by anonymou » Thu, 22 Jan 2004 00:09:49

I am running Windows 2000 Terminal server, at random times
my users are automaticall logged of the server, the server
logs the message below in the event viewer:

Application Popup: Logon timer expired, session has now
exceeded it's time limit.
Logoff with start in 2 minutes. Save all your files now.

The same message appears on the users screen.

This is not down to logon time restrictions as it happens
to people who have 24 hour access.

Any ideas?

Do we have an Active Session Limit set? We can check by going to Terminal Services Configuration, highlighting
Connections, right clicking RDP-Tcp on the right side of the screen, selecting Properties, going to the Sessions tab and
checking to see if Active Session Limit is set to something other than Never.
