When users visit a public folder through OWA and open a distribution list,
all the e-mail addresses for users who are saved as full contacts (instead
of as just an e-mail address) are listed as "unresolved entry". Any idea how
I can fix this? Currently, almost all the distribution lists on the server
are built from contacts located within the same public folder. (That way, if
I update a contact, that new information gets propogated to all the server
side distribution lists, instead of having to guess which lists a particular
user is in)

Any ideas?

Hi Reed,

Thanks for your posting here.

Based on my knowledge, this behavior is expected. Basically, Outlook Web
Address resolves names only with the Global Address List (GAL) and your
mailbox Contacts folder, and cannot choose or search from the list of
public folder contacts.

To work around this issue, you may move the contacts to the primary contact
folder or Active Directory. To add large bulk of contacts into AD, you can
use CSVDE to import them from a .csv file.To do this, refer to the
following steps:

Step 1. Create a .csv file with the proper attributes.

Step 2. Use csvde.exe to importcreate the user accounts. To do so, use the
following command:
"Csvde -i -f import.csv"
