Fax- XP / Server 2003: Fax Banner causes faxed document to be reformatted

Banners that get automatically added to the top of the faxed document
reformat the output document to an extreme. The output document is shrunk
12% horizontally, by different ratio vertically. Microsoft Fax adds 1/8" of
blank space on the left side of the document (for no reason), 1/2" on the
top (Ok, I would rather not, but I can live with that), 3/4" on the right
side (Outrageous, no reason for that), 1/2" on the bottom (again for no
reason).

Is there any setting that can be changed in order to maintain WYSIWIG with
Microsoft Fax? Some way do disable banners? Control margins and
positioning of the banner? At the very least, horizontal centering of the
shrunk document on the resulting page?

I reviewed the messages, and nobody seems to be complaining about it. I
can't believe everyone is find with documents faxed rescaled at different
ratios vertically and horizontally, and not centered.

When I view the fax using the viewer, it appears correctly. So it is the
final step, taking the source image, adding banner (over which I don't seem
to have any control) that mangles the document.
