Logitech mouse drivers for G-Max mouse?

I have a G-Max optical USB mouse with two buttons and a scroll-wheel
which also servers as a button -- in short, like any "vanilla"
Logitech mouse.
I remember I was able to use Logitech mouse drivers for other mouses
which were not made at Logitech, and it worked perfectly well.
However, this particular mouse won't work with Logitech driver, or at
least this driver won't have any effect or improvement for the mouse
function.
Namely, I'd like to add double-click functionality on the middle
button (scroll-wheel), something which you can't do with the default
driver. So far I haven't been able to find a suitable driver which
would make this work.
Any ideas where to start? I know Windows 95 had some registry tweak
where you could enable this function, but I don't think this works in
Windows 2000 as well.
The mouse came with Gigabyte desktop computer.

Checked... my mouse is not listed there. It's GM-2U.

Driverguide doesn't have any reference to that model, and Google finds very
few results for that mouse, mostly in Russian and Chinese. Do you have the
original setup CD for the Gigabyte computer?

If that isn't possible, try the longshot: Go around the internet, looking
at pictures of optical mice. I seriously doubt that Gigabyte actually
manufactured this mouse; it was probably made by another company and GB put
a label on it. Find one that looks like yours, and was released about the
same time as yours. Try the driver for that mouse.

If you do all that, you must REALLY like this mouse :)
