Mixed operaing systems and home network

Post by Wayn » Wed, 19 Nov 2003 13:42:17

I have 2 machines running winXP and a company laptop
running win2kp. All machines can access the internet ok
thru router and cable modem. The domain is 'workgroup' on
all machines. The 2 XPs can share files and printer. The
windows 2K proffessional machine also has cisco VPN. The
problem is that the win2kp machine can not see the XP's,
printers or shared files. Neither of the XP macines can
see the win2kp machine. What error have I made or what
additional software do I need for the win2kp machine?

Create an account on each machine that has exactly the same name and
password. Log onto each using that name and password and all should be
fine. You DO have the firewalls turned off on the XP machines RIGHT?
