Exactly...It's not financially fesable for a company to support software
forever..(you guys have any idea how much it costs MS to run tech
support..it'd scare you!)
So instead of increasing costs of their newer software to fund tech support
for users that are using an OS that is 10 years od, they end the support.
Windows 98 will still work fine, except there will be no more updates and you
can't call MS for help. There are more than enough web resources to
troubleshoot windows 98, and any really new users probably have a new pc with
XP on it. Really, think about it for a minute, by the line of reasoning that
some people are using, MS should still be supporting Windows 3.11 as well,
maybe even dos too.
